This annual exhibition was juried by Russell Yerkes, AWS, NWS who selected two of my paintings to be in the exhibition, "Glassy Reflection" and "Those Pink Lilies".

Nina's painting, "Hunters and Gatherers" has been juried into the 4th annual ISAP Exhibit in Tampa FL by international artist and founder of the National Acrylic Painter's Association - United Kingdom, Kenneth Jonah Hodgson.

I was very pleased to have one of my paintings, "My Glass Table" accepted into the 38th Annual Florida Watercolor Society Exhibition to be held in Punta Gorda, Florida this year. The Exhibit will be up until October 26, 2009. Juror, Judy Morris, AWS, NWS awarded it with the American Frame Corp. and Strathmore Paper Co. Award.

Nina Allen Freeman's class at Brush & Palette Studio includes loyal members who have attended since the class began in 2000 as well as new students. The class atmosphere is conducive to learning, relaxed, fun and creative.
Each person works on his/her own project with Nina providing help as needed.

A new class is beginning on Monday mornings, 10:00 - 12:00 AM for Intermediate and Advanced students. This class, beginning February 1, 2010,  will offer critiques, more advanced watercolor techniques, coaching on entering competitions and design. All of Nina's classes are given in a casual atmosphere of positive learning.

Painting Classes for all levels are on Tuesday Mornings, 10:00-12:00 AM, beginning September 8, 2009
and continuing weekly through May. Demonstrations are done each class and individual help given as needed.

Both the Monday morning class and the Tuesday morning class have the same fee; $54.00 monthly.  Classes meet weekly through May except holidays that are announced in advance.

I have exhibited for several years in Hair Options, owned by some dear friends of mine, Ron and Yvonne Neal. Their web site is;

The Ten Artist's, Ltd. of Tallahassee, a group of visual artists of whom I am a member, show regularily in the lobby and public areas of the Eye Associates Building in Tallahassee, Florida. The new exhibit was recently hung and will be up until October. It is open to the public during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m.
I have several of my waterlily paintings in the exhibit.

I have had two paintings "A Lady's Fan" and "My Glass Table" accepted by juror, Al Zerries, in the 21st Tri-State Water Media Exhibition held annually in Tallahassee, Florida. Sadly, Al Zerries was killed by a hit and run driver shortly after he selected paintings for our show and James Brantly of Alabama Judged the paintings for awards. I was honored to recieve the First Place Award for "My Glass Table", the painting that is on display on my home page.

I have also been asked to give a gallery talk about the paintings in the exhibition on Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 PM at LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts.

Nina will be showing all new works in this exhibition and sale that will showcase area artists' work and provide an opportunity for first-time art collectors or anyone looking for "one of a kind" holiday gifts. Art of Giving opens to the general public on November 28 (the day after Thanksgiving) with special holiday activities including book signings, a lighting ceremony and a toy drive launch. Juror, Deborah LaGrasse, selected one of Nina's paintings to be exhibited in this annual regional exhibition of over 100 selected artists. The exhibition and sale is located in the renovated 1910 building in Quincy's historic courthouse square 20 miles west of Tallahassee.
Nina also has new, small scale works in the Gadsden Arts Center gift shop. Many of these are new acrylic collaged works. see www.gadsdenarts.org

Nina's painting "Marsh Grasses" has been selected by the juror, Ron Yrabedra, to be in this annual water media competion and exhibition featuring the works of the members of the Tallahassee Watercolor Society (TaWS).

Nina was president of TaWS from 2004 - 2006 and is a life member and a signature member. She remains active on the board of directors.
